abbeySCHOOL CiaoItaly (link www.ciaoitaly-turin.com) was born from the multicultural experience and professionalism of the staff of abbeySCHOOL (link www.abbeyschool.it), which has represented an excellent centre in the field of language teaching in Turin since 1996. Moreover, the school was awarded the UNI EN ISO 9001:2000 quality certification in 2007.
The school, specialising in teaching the Italian language and culture to foreigners, guarantees the students a learning experience of the highest quality.
The school's decision to work with only small groups ensures that each participant has the opportunity to develop and improve his/her linguistic skills. Access to each course therefore requires an entrance exam in order to form classes of a suitable level for all participants.
The lessons are entrusted to energetic and qualified native language teachers by means of direct pedagogic methods and the use of various teaching materials (books, newspaper, CD, films, music, etc.) which help the students to improve their communicative and cultural skills. The numerous recreational activities organized by the school, in collaboration with the professionals of the area, allow the student to get into contact with the local people and to get to know the cultural and artistic richness of the city and the province. Responsive to the growing demand for courses by Asian students, abbeySCHOOL CiaoItaly has prepared programmes based on teaching methodologies which take into consideration the phonetic and syntactic diversity of non-European languages. abbeySCHOOL CiaoItaly (link www.ciaoitaly-turin.com), la scuola di lingua italiana per stranieri, nasce a Torino dall’esperienza multiculturale e dalla professionalità dello staff di abbeySCHOOL (link www.abbeyschool.it).
La scuola garantisce a chi vuole imparare l’italiano a Torino alti standard qualitativi di formazione attraverso corsi individuali, corsi di gruppo, nonché corsi intensivi.  Con sensibilità alla crescente richiesta di corsi di italiano da parte di studenti asiatici (cinesi, giapponesi, coreani), la scuola ha predisposto anche programmi incentrati su apposite metodologie didattiche per questa tipologia di allievi.
L’accesso ad ogni corso prevede un test d’ingresso per formare classi di livello omogeneo. Le lezioni sono affidate a docenti madrelingua dinamici e qualificati. La scuola offre agli studenti la possibilità di conoscere la ricchezza culturale ed artistica del territorio attraverso numerose attività ricreative: corsi di cucina, degustazione di vini e prodotti tipici, organizzazione di cene tematiche, visite guidate alla città di Torino, visite ai musei, serate in locali tipici, escursioni alla scoperta del Piemonte.
